Becky New of BeXarts is a long time, natural artist. She uses various mediums to create unusual and one of a kind pieces. Having worked with and published in mixed media for over 20 years, she found and fell in love with fiber in 2013. As a spinner and weaver, she creates non-traditional yarns and Saori weavings. Texture. color and inclusions are her primary way to work with fiber art.
Becky is a certified Master Dyer and Teacher in the Redding Method of Dyeing. Redding Method is a dynamic system which utilizes both science and artistry to achieve consistency as well as depth and dimension when working with protein fibers. She offers primarily personal or small dyeing workshops. She also teaches spinning and weaving with emphasis on artistic styles.
Becky's art and fiber studio is currently in her home in Maryland. She often participates in art festivals and shows to sell her work, including the Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival, art festivals in New Mexico, Pennsylvania and Maryland.
